2nd Annual Buddy Ball Baseball Game
On Saturday July 26, 2008 the 2nd Annual Buddy Ball Baseball Game will be held at the Shaw's Lane Softball Field.  This event is for mentally and physically handicapped children and young adults, ages five to twenty one.  Please arrive at the field by 8am for instructions and meet and greet.  Following the meet and greet, there will be a practice and educational sessions.  The game will take place after the morning sessions.  Make sure you to stick around after the game for a cookout.

23rd Annual Twilight Auction
Please join us for a memorable night!  Our 23rd  Annual auction begins at 4pm with a silent auction including gift certificates from local restaurants and businesses, small art works and other gift items from community businesses.  The live auction begins at 6:30pm and includes major art works graciously donated by talented Maine and New Hampshire painters, sculptors, and architects and much more.  Included in the $25.00 ticket price are a bid card, dinner, coffee and dessert.  There will also be also be a cash bar available to guests.  Funds raised are used to assist clients living in the Seacoast with HIV/AIDS, as well as helping to fund our Education and Prevention Programs.  We are very pleased to have Stonewall Kitchen returning as our title sponsor for the 9th consecutive year.

TJF Celebrates forty years
This September Timberlane Jr Football marks it's 40th anniversary this year.  The weekend of September 13th and 14th will be celebrated and in recognition of the Alumni.  To kick off the weekend there will be an alumni/parents dance on Saturday September 13th at the Atkinson Resort and Country Club.  Advanced tickets are $20.00 per person, and $25.00 at the door.  You can also purchase a table of ten for $200.00.  There will be a DJ through out the event while appetizers are being served along with a cash bar.  You must be 21 or older to attend this event.  For more ticket information or to reserve a table contact Trish Holt at 247-1526.

Under the Tents....Irish Fest by the Sea
On Saturday August 9, 2008, from 11-7pm "Under the Tents....An Irish Festival by the Sea" will be held at the Elks, on Rt. 108 in Dover, NH.  There will be much for everyone to enjoy including music, musical workshops, crafts and game, a ceili and Irish tea.  This is being organized in an effort to bring Irish arts, heritage and culture together, while promoting the sport of Irish dance.  The event will be hosted by the parent's group which supports the dancers of Murray Irish Dance Academy located in Stratham, NH in an effort to foster an appreciation for, and a greater understanding of, Irish culture.

Musical entertainment will be provided by Dover's own Eugene Byrne, MacTalla Mor of New York; Matt and Shannon Heaton of Massachusetts, Reaganta of Exeter, O'Hanleigh of Vermont; and of course members of the Ancient Order of Hibernian Pipe and Drum group.

The Murray Irish Dance Academy Dancers have participated in area events such as Apple Harvest and the Newmarket Heritage Festival as well as performing for both nursing homes for local non-profit groups and charities. 

As a way of giving back to the community, these dancers have collected toys/ items along the Dover Holiday parade route to make sure that area under privileged children would have gifts at Christmas.  They will continue in their efforts of encouraging community service by the collection of items at the Irish Fest for the NH Food Bank.  To help promote the donation of items, a drawing will be held for those attendees who donate money or by non-perishable food items to the NH food Bank.

Village Players Perform On Golden Pond
The Village Players is a non-profit amateur community theater organization in Wolfeboro, NH.  The theater presents three to five productions a year including dramas, comedies, mysteries and major musicals at our own 200 seat theater on Glendon Street.  On July 25 there will be a show starting at 8pm, ticket prices opening night are only $8 in advance/ $10 at the door.  All other performances: $10 in advance/ $12 at the door.  There will be two other shows on August 1 and 2 at 8pm, same ticket prices apply.  Don't miss the matinee show on August 3, at 2pm.

Capital City Children's Camp
Capital city Children's Camp, held August 11-14, is a free summer day camp for children ages 6-12.  Camp will feature a live band, large inflatable attractions, games, prizes, and guest speaker John Tasch.  Lunch will be served daily at no charge.  Camp is hosted by Word of Life Christian Fellowship on:

This is "The First Annual Golf Tournament" to help support the St. Elizabeth Seton School in Rochester, NH.

16th Annual NH Marathon and Craft Show!

16th Annual NH Marathon and Craft Show - Oct. 4, 2008 at 9am at Newfound Memorial Middle School on Lake Street in Bristol, NH.

The events for the Day includes Marathon, 10K, 5K Judged Race Walk, Health Walk, & Craft Show.

Cycle for Shelter
On July 27, 2008 there will be a sponsored cycle ride in Haverhill, MA.  There will be three different rides for one great cause.  The three rides are a 26 mile, 62 mile or a 100 mile fully supported scenic routes.  To participate in this event there will be a forty dollar entry fee which will benefit Emmaus which provides  shelter, services and housing for homeless children and adults.

Free Touch Tank

This summer come visit the Blue Ocean Society's "Free Touch Tank!"  See, touch and hold live marine creatures, including sea stars, urchins, sand dollars, crabs and more.  Don't miss out on the opportunity to make take-home crafts all day long.  Games will be held daily at noon, so parents, don't forget to bring your lunch and take a break while your kids play!  Story time every Tuesday and Thursday at 11 a.m. 
The tank is free and open to the public all summer long.  Open Monday through Thursday from 10am to 2pm, and Friday through Sunday from 9am to 2pm.
